Spring Break on St. George Island

I hope everyone had a great week.  I had a wonderful week with my two youngest granddaughters visiting from Kentucky for Spring Break.  The weather this week was picture perfect and they were able to enjoy the beach and pool in our subdivision, Magnolia Bay.  They have to go home tomorrow, but fortunately, they will be spending the month of July with us this summer.  Here is a picture of them enjoying the beautiful beaches of St. George Island.

The real estate market has also been very active. Below are properties which have closed since March 15th.

St. George Island:

320 Patton St.

Bay front 2 bedroom/2 bath fixer upper listed for $269,000 and sold for $250,000.   Days on the market 140.  Cash purchase, closed on 3/25/14 and was under contract 22 days.

541 W. Pine

Three bedroom/2 bath updated beach cottage listed for $275,000 and sold for $263,500.  The home was on the market for 101 days.   Conventional financing, under contract for 44 days and closed on 3/34/14.

1400 East Gulf Beach Dr.

Three bedroom/2 bath 1st tier home on the East End listed for $295,000 and sold for $295,000.  This was a short sale listing and was on the market for 226 days.  Cash purchase, closed on 3/31/14 and was under contract for 72 days.

 

The Whaley House 1532 E. Gulf Beach Dr.

Seven bedroom/7 and 2 1/2 bath gulf front home on the East End listed for $1,800,000 and sold for $1,975,000 which included the purchase of home and an additional one acre 1st tier lot.  Conventional financing, closed on 3/27/14 and was under contract 65 days.

Apalachicola

143 Melanie Ln.

2 bedroom/2 bath cottage located near the Breakaway Canal listed for $89,900 and sold for $71,000 and was on the market for 246 days.  Seller financing, closed on 4/4/14 and was under contract for 32 days.

54 Hathcock Rd.

One bedroom/one bath country cottage originally listed for $125,000 and sold for $125,000.  Cash purchase, closed 3/17/14 and was under contract for 26 days.

91 Avenue C

3 bedroom/2 bath Apalachicola cottage located in the historic south district originally listed for $280,000 and sold for $275,000 and was on the market for 119 days.  Cash purchase, closed on 3/21/14 and was under contract for 15 days.

Carrabelle

505 7th St.

Bank owned 3 bedroom/2 bath cottage located in downtown Carrabelle originally listed for $65,000 and sold for $62,000 and was on the market 129 days.  Cash purchased, closed on 4/4/14 and was under contract for 36 days.

123 Carl King Ave.

2 bedroom/1 bath cottage located in Lanark Village originally listed for $78,900 and sold for $76,500 and was on the market for 12 days.  Conventional financing, closed on 3/28/14 and was under contract for 12 days.
