FORGOTTEN COAST SALES UPDATE – SEPTEMBER 2016

Fall has officially arrived and it has been absolutely gorgeous here the past few days.  We were very lucky and had no impact from Hurricane Matthew.  It was just a little more windy than normal.  I hope that you can schedule a trip to the area this fall and enjoy the wonderful weather and slower pace.

Sales activity for the month of September was down quite a bit with just 32 properties sold.  Overall, there were 16 single family homes sold, 2 town homes and 14 vacant lots.  Carrabelle saw the most activity with 13 properties sold – 5 single family homes, 1 town home and 7 vacant lots.  St. George Island had 8 total sales – 6 single family homes, 1 town home in 300 Ocean Mile and 1 vacant lot.  In Apalachicola 3 properties sold – 1 single family home and 2 vacant lots.  In Eastpoint  6 properties sold – 3 single family homes and 3 sales of vacant land including 48.5 acres in the Las Brisas subdivision.  There was one single family home and 1 vacant lot sold on Alligator Point.   Sales prices ranged from $6,000 for a residential lot in Lakes on the Bluff in Eastpoint to $759,000 for a 5 bedroom/4 bath bay front home in the Bayside community in the Plantation.
