I hope everyone is staying safe and getting through this difficult time. Florida is slowly reopening it’s beaches and restaurants. As of 5/4/20 the beaches will reopen for a few hours in the morning and again in the afternoon. As of this time the governor is still not allowing short term vacation rentals but all are hopeful that they will be allowed later this month. Franklin County has been very fortunate to have only 2 reported cases and we are hopeful that the reopening of the area will not result in any new cases.
Sales activity was quite strong for the month of March with 43 total sales – 23 single family homes, 4 condos/town homes and 16 residential home sites. Carrabelle saw the most activity with 16 total sales – 9 single family homes, 4 condos/town homes and 3 residential home sites. St. George Island has 15 total sales – 9 single family homes and 6 residential home sites. Apalachicola had 5 total sales – 4 single family homes and 1 residential home site. Eastpoint had 7 total sales – 1 single family home and 6 residential home sites. Sales prices ranged from a low of $6,000 for a lot in Magnolia Ridge in Eastpoint to a high of $2,065,000 for a 5 bedroom/5.5 bath gulf front home located in the Plantation on St. George Island.
