Forgotten Coast Sales Update – March 2016

It is hard to believe that we are already a quarter of the way through 2016.  Spring Break is over and we are now looking forward to a busy summer tourist season.  From now until the Memorial Day is a fairly slow time on the Forgotten Coast.  If you are considering purchasing a home in the area, this is the perfect time to visit as the properties are easy to show and the temperatures are still pleasant.  Also, by purchasing a home now and you will be ready for the busy vacation rental season.   There is a great selection of available properties at very attractive prices.   lease let me know if you would like information on properties available in any area of the Forgotten Coast or might want to schedule showings of any properties which look like a good fit for you.

Sales activity was strong for the month of March with total sales of 46 properties – 19 single family homes, 2 multi-family homes, 1 town home, 3 mobile homes, 3 commercial properties and 18 residential lots.  On St. George Island there were 10 single family homes and 4 residential lots sold.  In Apalachicola, there were sales of 3 single family homes in Greater Apalachicola, 1 multi-family home on the Historic South Side, 1 mobile home and 3 residential lots.  In the Carrabelle area, there were sales of 3 single family homes, 1 multi-family home, 2 mobile homes, 1 town home in Lanark Village, 2 commercial properties and 6 vacant lots.  In Eastpoint 5 residential lots and one commercial building were sold.  There were sales of 2 single family homes on Alligator Point and 1 single family home on Dog Island.   Prices on properties sold ranged from $9,000 for a residential lot in Lakes on the Bluff in Eastpoint to $1,500,000 for a 5 bedroom/5 bath gulf front home on St. George Island’s East End.
