FORGOTTEN COAST SALES UPDATE – JULY 2017

August is here and it is hot!  Temperatures have been in the 90’s for the past month with some relief provided by almost daily thunderstorms.  Just a couple of more months of this heat and fall will arrive – my favorite time of the year.

Sales activity in the area was somewhat slow for the month of July with 40 total sales – 21 Single family homes, 1 mobile home, 14 residential home sites and 4 commercial properties.   St. George Island saw the most activity with 20 total sales – 13 single family homes, 6 residential home sites and 1 commercial property.  In Apalachicola there were 3 total sales – 2 single family homes and 1 residential home site.  In Carrabelle there were 12 total sales – 4 single family homes, 6 residential home sites and 12commercial properties.  In Eastpoint there were 5 total sales – 2 single family homes, 1 mobile home, 1 residential home site and 1 commercial property.  Sales prices ranged from a low of $9,375 for a residential home site in St. James Bay to $4,600,000 for the sale of the Buccaneer Inn on St. George Island.
