It is hard to believe that the first month of 2016 is already over. Time goes by so quickly the older I get. Today is absolutely beautiful here but cool. The cooler winter temperatures are what makes this area so different from the rest of Florida. You actually get a change of season but still have all that wonderful Florida sunshine.
Sales activity for the month of January was rather slow which is typical for this time of year but interest is up and I feel 2016 will be a very busy year. There were 28 properties sold in Franklin County – 12 single family homes, 6 town homes/condos, 1 commercial property and 9 residential lots. On St. George Island there were sales of 4 single family homes, 1 unit at Villas of St. George and 3 residential lots. In Apalachicola, there were 2 single family homes in the historic district sold, 1 town home in Whispering Pines, two condos at High Cotton and one commercial unit at High Cotton. In Carrabelle there were 2 single family homes sold, one unit at Lanark Village and a condo in Pickett’s Landing along with 3 residential lots. In Eastpoint there were sales of 2 single family homes and 2 vacant lots. On Alligator Point 2 single family homes and 1 residential lot were sold. Sales prices ranged from a low of $4,000 for a lot in Carrabelle Landings up to $640,000 for a 1st tier Plantation home with private pool.
