Forgotten Coast Sales Update for July 2015

It is hard to believe that summer is just about over.  I am ready for fall and some cooler temperatures.  Fall is one of the best times to plan a visit to the area.  October is just about the prettiest month of the year.  If you can plan a visit to the area in the next couple of months you will not be disappointed.

Sales activity for the month of July remained strong with 44 properties sold – 27 single family/condos/mobile homes and 17 vacant lots.  By area – On St. George Island there were 5 single family homes sold and 9 vacant lots.  In Apalachicola – 1 home and a block of 3 condos were sold.  In Carrabelle – 6 single family homes, 1 mobile home and 1 unit in Lanark Village sold along with 4 vacant lots.  Eastpoint was particularly active with sales of 5 single family homes, 1 mobile home, 3 residential lots and 1 commercial lot.  On Alligator Point there were 3 single family homes and 1 single family home on Dog Island.  Sales prices ranged from $8,000 for a residential lot in Lanark to a high of $795,000 for a Plantation gulf front lot.
