FORGOTTEN COAST SALES UPDATE – FEBRUARY 2020

I hope everyone is healthy and safe during this stressful and uncertain time of COVID-19. The island is full of folks who had already scheduled their Spring Break vacation. Many beaches are closing to to public but at this time, our beautiful beaches are open. Bars and nightclubs in the state of Florida have been closed and most of the local restaurants are offering carryout as a convenience to the locals and guests. We will all get through this and maybe become kinder and better people because of it.

Sales activity was up somewhat for February with 39 total property sales – 20 single family homes, 1 condo, 3 mobile homes and 15 residential home sites. St. George Island saw the most activity with 15 total sales – 10 single family homes and 5 residential home sites. Apalachicola had 5 sales of single family homes. Carrabelle had 12 total sales – 3 single family homes, 1 condo in Pirates Landing, 3 mobile homes and 5 residential home sites. Eastpoint had 7 totals sales – 2 single family homes and 5 residential home sites. Prices ranged from a high of $1,537,500 for a 5 bedroom/4.5 gulf front home with private pool on St. George Island to $8,500 for a home site in Lighthouse Ridge in Carrabelle.
