Spring is almost here and it has been absolutely beautiful on the Forgotten Coast. My amazing granddaughters will be here for Spring Break in just 3 more weeks and I can’t wait. This long distance grandma thing is hard!
Sales activity for February 2016 remained somewhat slow. There were total sales of 8 single family homes, 7 town homes/condos, 2 mobile homes, 3 commercial properties on St. George Island and 16 vacant lots. Carrabelle saw the most activity with 15 properties sold – 3 single family homes, 5 town homes/condos (including 3 units in Lanark Village) and 7 vacant lots. On St. George Island there were 8 properties sold – 2 single family homes, 1 condo, 3 commercial properties and 2 vacant lots. In Apalachicola 9 properties sold – 3 single family homes in Greater Apalachicola, 1 town home in Whispering Pines and 5 vacant lots. In Eastpoint there were 3 properties sold – 2 mobile homes and 1 vacant lot. There was one vacant lot sold on Alligator Point.
Sale prices ranged from a low of $9,500 for a vacant lot in Carrabelle to $1,175,000 for a Planation bay front home. The average days on the market for the areas of St. George Island, Apalachicola, Carrabelle and Eastpoint was 190 days. The average percentage of final selling price to list price was 94%.
