FORGOTTEN COAST SALES UPDATE – DECEMBER 2017

I hope everyone had a great holiday season.  Ours was wonderful as we got to spend time with two of our granddaughters and our son.  2018 is gearing up to be a busy year here on the Forgotten Coast.  The number of visitors during the winter months continues to grow year after year.  Even though the weather has been a little too chilly for my tastes, it is definitely better than most areas of the country.

Sales activity was somewhat slow for the month of December which is typical.  There were 29 total sales – 11 single family homes, 4 condos/townhomes, 1 mobile home, 12 residential home sites and 1 commercial building in Carrabelle.  Carrabelle saw the most sales activity with 12 total sales – 3 single family homes, 4 condos/townhomes, 1 mobile home, 3 residential homes sites and 1 commercial building.  On St. George Island there were 9 total sales – 5 single family homes and 4 residential home sites.  In Apalachicola there were 6 total sales – 3 single family homes and 3 residential home sites.  Eastpoint had 2 residential home site sales.  Sales prices ranged from $3,501 for a bank owned auction sale of a residential home site in Greater Apalachicola to $875,000 for a 5 bedroom/3 bath Plantation bay front home.
