FORGOTTEN COAST SALES UPDATE – AUGUST 2017

We are all so grateful that the Forgotten Coast survived the wrath of Hurricane Irma with minimal damage to local homes and our beaches.  This area was spared and our thoughts are with our neighbors in Florida who witnessed so much destruction.

Sales activity for August remained somewhat slow with 41 total sales – 16 single family homes, 2 town home/condos, 1 mobile home and 22 residential home sites.  Carrabelle saw the most activity with 17 total sales – 4 single family homes, 1 condo, 1 mobile home and 11 residential home sites.  On St. George Island there were 11 total sales – 6 single family homes, 1 town home and 4 residential home sites.  In Apalachicola there were 7 total sales – 5 single family homes and 2 residential home sites.  In Eastpoint there were 6 total sales – 1 single family home and 5 residential home sites.  Sales prices ranged from $5,500 for a presently unbuildable lot in Bayou Harbor in Carrabelle to $925,000 for a 6 bedroom/2 1/2 bath bayou front home with private pool and dock located in Bayou Harbor in Carrabelle.
