FORGOTTEN COAST SALES UPDATE – APRIL 2021

IT IS KITTEN SEASON!

I hope everyone is enjoying a wonderful spring. It is kitten season and I have had the opportunity to volunteer at our local Humane Society and work with socializing kittens to help get them ready for adoption. I don’t know who gets more out of doing this – the kittens or me. I am pretty sure it is me. If you have been considering getting a pet, stop by our local shelter the next time you visit and check out all the wonderful dogs and cats that are available.

Sales activity was at the highest volume I have ever seen in all the years I have worked in this area. Local realtors sold a record breaking 115 properties on St. George Island, Apalachicola, Carrabelle and Eastpoint – 45 single family homes, 13 condos/town homes, 3 mobile homes, 49 residential home sites and 5 commercial properties. St. George Island saw the most activity with 61 total sales – 29 single family homes, 6 condo/town homes, 24 residential home sites and 2 commercial properties. Apalachicola had 8 total sales – 5 single family homes, 1 condo, 1 residential home site and 1 commercial building. Carrabelle had 44 total sales – 10 single family homes, 6 condos/town homes, 24 residential home sites and 1 commercial property. Eastpoint had 2 sales – 1 single family home and 1 commercial property. Sales ranged from a low of $15,000 for a residential home site in St. James Bay to $3,600,000 for a gulf front Plantation 6 bedroom/6.5 bath new construction home with infinity pool and elevator.
