FORGOTTEN COAST SALES UPDATE – APRIL 2017

We were able to spend another memorable week with our two youngest granddaughters over Spring Break.  The weather was perfect and much fun was had by all.  It just went by too fast.  Summer is just around the corner though.

April was busy month with 51 total sales – 15 single family homes, 8 town home/condos, 25 residential home sites and 3 commercial lots sold as one parcel on St. George Island and a commercial building and lot sold together in Apalachicola.  The unusual thing was that there more vacant home sites sold than homes.  St. James Bay was particularly active with 5 homes site sales.  If you have visited the area recently, you can see that there is a lot of new construction throughout the area and especially on St. George Island.    Carrabelle saw the most activity with 17 total sales – 5 single family homes, 4 town home/condos and 8 residential lots.  On St. George Island there were 12 total sales – 2 single family homes, 1 town home and 1 duplex, 7 residential home sites and 3 commercial lots.  In Apalachicola there were 15 total sales – 7 single family homes, 2 town homes, 4 residential home sites and a commercial building and lot.  In Eastpoint there were 7 total sales – 1 single family home and 6 home sites.  Sales ranged from $7,000 for a residential home site in Magnolia Ridge in Eastpoint to $479,900 for a bank owned 4 bedroom/3.5 bath 1st tier Plantation home with private pool.
