FORGOTTEN COAST SALES UPDATE – JANUARY 2019

It has been a wonderful winter so far here on the Forgotten Coast.  The temperatures have not dropped below freezing and my hibiscus are in full bloom.  It will suit me just fine if we can get through the entire winter with no temperature lower than 40 degrees.

Sales activity was down somewhat for the month of January with only 22 total sales – 11 single family homes, 1 mobile home, 9 residential home sites and 1 commercial building.  St. George Island saw the most activity with 8 total sales – 3 single family homes and 5 residential home sites.  Apalachicola had 6 total sales – 3 single family homes, 2 residential home sites and 1 commercial building.  Carrabelle had 5 total sales – 2 single family homes, 1 mobile home and 2 residential home sites.  Eastpoint had sales of 3 single family homes.   Sales prices ranged from a low of $35,000 for a 2 bedroom/1 bath mobile home in Carrabelle to $770,000 for a 5 bedroom/5 bath Plantation home with private pool.
