FORGOTTEN COAST SALES UPDATE – OCTOBER 2018

I hope everyone had a great Thanksgiving and are enjoying the holiday season.  We had a quiet Thanksgiving with just our son but it was enjoyable and the weather was cool but sunny.  Frost Pottery and Gifts was a landmark destination in Mexico Beach with their wonderful pots and unique items.  It was totally destroyed by Hurricane Michael and they have since relocated to Eastpoint on the corner of Hwy. 98 and North Bay Shore Dr.  I was doing a little Christmas shopping there and came across a great find.  A snowman, who we named Michael, who was pretty banged up from the Hurricane but he did survive with just a chip in his hat and in need of a paint job.  We patched him up and he is now a special part of our Christmas decorations.

Sales activity for the month of October was down some with total 30 sales – 13 single family homes, 1 condo, 15 residential home sites and 1 commercial property.  Carrabelle saw the most activity with 15 total sales – 6 single family homes, 1 condo, 7 residential home sites and 1 commercial property.  St. George Island had 6 total sales – 3 single family homes and 3 residential home sites.  Apalachicola had 6 total sales – 4 single family homes and 2 residential home sites.  Eastpoint had sales of 1 residential home site and 2 large parcels of land.  Sales prices ranged from a lot of $6,500 for 2 bank owned home sites in Carrabelle to $1,050,000 for a 3 bedroom/3 bath water front home with private pool and elevator in Hidden Beaches in Carrabelle.
