FORGOTTEN COAST SALES UPDATE – JULY 2018

It is hard to believe that summer is almost over.  Things have slowed down somewhat as is typical when school starts.  It has also been extremely hot but with lots of much needed rain.  It is also a great time to view local properties as the vacation rental homes are not fully booked like in the peak of summer.  There are some wonderful properties for sale throughout the area, so come on down for a visit.

Sales activity for the month of July was quite similar to sales activity in June.  There were 45 properties sold on St. George Island, Apalachicola, Carrabelle and Eastpoint – 17 single family homes, 2 town homes, 1 mobile home, 15 residential home sites and 3 commercial properties.  St. George Island saw the most activity with 17 total sales – 11 single family homes and 6 residential home sites.  In Apalachicola there were 8 total sales – 5 single family homes, 1 residential home site and 2 commercial land parcels.  In Carrabelle there were 12 total sales – 6 single family homes, 2 units in Lanark Village, 1 mobile home and 3 residential home sites.  In Eastpoint there were 8 total sales – 2 single family homes, 5 residential home sites and a commercial building on Hwy 98.  Sales prices ranged from a low of $10,000 for a 1 acre home site in Gramercy Plantation to $2,125,000 for a 6 bedroom/6.5 bath gulf front home with private pool and elevator on the East End of St. George Island.
