FORGOTTEN COAST SALES UPDATE – AUGUST 2018

Tomorrow is the first official day of fall although you can’t tell it from the temperatures here this week.  It has been in 90’s everyday and so very humid.  I am ready for cooler temperatures and days with lots of sunshine.  Fall is a wonderful time to plan a visit to the area.  It is slower and much easier to view homes for sale which are part of the vacation rental market.  I would encourage you to plan a visit soon.

Sales activity for the month of August was up considerably.  There were 54 total properties sold – 16 single family homes, 9 condos/town homes, 1 mobile home, 24 residential home sites and 4 commercial properties.  Carrabelle saw the most activity with 22 total sales – 8 single family homes, 7 condos/town homes, 6 residential home sites and 1 commercial property.  On St. George Island there were 19 total sales – 5 single family homes, 2 condos/town homes, 11 residential home sites and 1 commercial property.  In Apalachicola there were 6 total sales – 2 single family homes, 1 mobile home, 6 residential home sites and 1 commercial property.  In Eastpoint there were 7 total sales – 1 single family home, 5 residential home sites and 1 commercial property.  Sales prices ranged from a low of $11,000 for a one acre residential home site in Magnolia Ridge in Eastpoint to $1,100,000 for a 4 bedroom/3/5 bath Plantation gulf front home.
