Forgotten Coast Sale Update – May 2016

It is hard to believe that 5 months of 2016 have already gone by.  We had a beautiful winter and spring but now summer is here and so is the hot weather.  The busy season if officially underway with lots of visitors enjoying our beautiful beaches and great seafood.  If any of you are planning at trip to the area this summer and would like to check out any available properties while you are here, please let me know.

Sales activity for May was extremely active.  There were 57 properties sold – 30 single family homes, 5 town homes/condos, 2 mobile homes, 17 lots and 3 commercial properties.   There were 20 total sales on St. George Island consisting  of 12 single family homes, 1 town home in 300 Ocean Mile, 6 residential lots and a block of 5 commercial lots on East Pine.  In Apalachicola there were 9 total sales consisting of 5 single family homes and 3 residential lots.  Carrabelle had the largest number of total sales with 21 properties sold consisting of 9 single family homes, 4 town homes/condos, 2 mobile homes, 5 residential lots and 1 commercial building.   In Eastpoint there were 3 properties sold consisting of 2 single family homes and 1 commercial building.  On Alligator Point there were 3 residential lots sold and on Dog Island there were sales of 2 single family homes.   Sales prices ranged from $15,000 for 2.17 acre residential lot in Carrabelle to $1,150,000 for a 4 bedroom/3.5 Plantation gulf front home.   May was one of the strongest months the area has seen in quite a while.
